MM and I watched Malena over the weekend. Lockie is right, this is a brilliant movie. So many things to like about this film: the scenery, opressed Catholic humour, some fantasic Italian slang, and of course Monica. (Zombie)

I only turned it on for a second and caught the scene where the townsfolk are persecuting her... afraid of her power and beauty it seems... i couldn't watch it again, too upsetting... reminded me of dogville with a diff ending.
